Orient Europharma shall continue to capitalize on its core strengths: pharmaceuticals, infant nutrition and food supplements for the elderly, Oncology and Dermo-cosmetics. OE shall also expand into emerging market opportunities resulting from the following macro and micro environmental changes:
 
  1. The growth of geriatric, pediatric, and OBS/GYN markets due to population factors as well as the inclusion of the elderly, children and housewives into taiwan's National Health Insurance (NHI) Plan coverage.
  2. The resurgence of general practitioners (GPs) due to the implementation of the Medical Referral System and the current separation of prescription and dispensing under the NHI.
  3. The growht of the "over-the-counter" (OTC) market due to:
    1. OTC reclassification.
    2. Increasing health-consciousness and the trend toward self-medication among consumers.
    3. The rise in OTC drugstore chains at the retail level.
Orient Europharma has redefined itself as a professional pharmaceuticals and nutritional company, expanding its business domain to cover the R&D of pharmaceuticals, niche-oriented generic products, Dermo-cosmetics, OTC products and general baby-care products.

As a biotech company, OE will continue to invest in niche breakthrough products to improve the quality of life and health of the people in the Asia-Pacific region.
